1. Information we process

The app identifies available conversation sources on your device. Turning off saving does not stop source detection.

The conversations, images and related AI integration activity records you choose to save are stored on your device for reading, searching and use through AI integrations. Turning off saving or signing out does not automatically delete existing copies.

Our online services also process the following information:

• Your email address, login and security information, to verify your identity, manage your account and keep the service secure.
• Purchased entitlements, device information and connection authorization information, to provide features and manage access.
• Account and installation identifiers, app version, language, region and feature usage, for product analytics. Analytics do not include conversation content, but may be linked to your account. There is no separate option to turn analytics off.
• Contact details, feedback and attachments you choose to send us, to respond to your requests.

2. AI integrations and service providers

Once you provide another AI service with connection details or authorization, its client can request matching conversation excerpts or lists of conversations. For remote integrations, queries and results are relayed through Cloudflare. The relay service does not retain this content as a cloud archive of your conversations. Account, authorization and analytics information is stored separately.

Other AI services use the content they receive under their own policies. Revoking a connection does not take back copies already shared with them.

We use Cloudflare for online infrastructure, Resend to send verification emails, and GitHub to distribute software and updates. These providers process information needed for those purposes, and may process it outside your country or region.

3. Retention and security

We retain account information needed to maintain your account and related services for as long as your account remains open. After account deletion, we delete or anonymize related personal information held in the cloud that is no longer needed, except where retention is required by law. We retain other cloud service information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, then delete or anonymize it.

Cloudflare is responsible for security at its network and infrastructure layers. We are responsible for the security of the Chat Memo app, access controls and related service configuration. Please protect your device, network, login credentials and connection details, choose third-party services carefully, and keep backups of important data. No security measure can guarantee absolute security.

4. Your rights

Account deletion is handled manually by email. To request it, contact us at the address at the end of this policy. You can also use that address to request access to, correction of, a copy of, deletion of or restrictions on the processing of personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent or object to processing, as provided by applicable law. You may also complain to the relevant supervisory authority.

You manage and delete conversation data stored on your device yourself. Deleting your account does not automatically delete that local data. Deleting local data does not automatically delete the original sources, backups or copies already received by other AI services.

5. Updates and contact

When we update this policy, we will state its version and effective date. We will give separate notice of material changes. Where fresh consent is required by law, we will explain the relevant processing and obtain your consent before it takes place.
